What are nude heels?

Nude heels are shoes in a soft neutral tone close to a natural skin colour, usually ranging from pale champagne through to a warmer beige. Their appeal is optical: because the shoe reads as an extension of the leg rather than a break in it, a nude heel visually lengthens the leg more than black, white or any bright colour at the same height.
